Sun Mountain asked CodeGeek to develop a new website and door customization tool that would accurately represent their brand and the quality of their luxury products.

The challenge

Sun Mountain wanted to improve conversions by streamlining key website functionality. With literally hundreds of product options available for custom-made doors and flooring, it was important to not overwhelm customers. Additionally, they wanted to make it easy for customers to request a quote.

Sun Mountain also needed to modernize their site by making it responsive and allowing it to work across multiple devices. In addition, the new site needed to cater to the 70% of website visitors who were homeowners with no technical background, while still giving them the ability to spec out what they need.

The solution

The web application we built using React and integrated with WordPress allows for extremely easy configuration of custom doors, whether you’re working on a smartphone or laptop. Visitors can easily move through the product design process without feeling overwhelmed by all the options.

Visitors can also easily request a quote for an upcoming project. And if a visitor isn’t ready to request a quote, that’s no problem. Once a visitor has finished customizing a product, they receive a beautifully designed PDF showing the options selected, which they can also share with their spouse, architect, or builder.

The results

Since the launch of the site, Sun Mountain has seen a dramatic increase in conversion rates of approximately five times what they were with the previous site. The site also won a W3 Silver Award. The modern design, created by Sun Mountain’s in-house team, plus CodeGeek’s custom development resulted in a beautiful, modern site that is clean, elegant, and easy to use. See for yourself…
