A Geeky Project

Triple Crown Sports

Triple Crown Sports runs 300 tournaments a year. We redesigned their site to work smoothly and look sharp on the field and at home.

The challenge

Over a ten-year period, Triple Crown Sports had created and extended a variety of web systems. These included a public-facing website, display of tournament results and details, and a private member dashboard for players, parents and coaches. These systems were built using a variety of technologies. Look and interface design varied widely, diluting branding and causing interface confusion.

The solution

We created a 100% custom design to tie TCS’s systems together with a consistent look and interface. Using Responsive Web Design techniques and the Bootstrap framework, we ensured every page was optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop use. Our User Experience design skills enabled us to significantly improve the workflow and usability of key aspects of the website and web applications.

The results

The majority of TCS’s web traffic now comes from mobile devices. Whether checking tournament schedules and scores using phones on the field during a tournament, or registering for an event at home on laptops and tablets, users get what they need quickly and smoothly. That means more business for TCS.
