Oscillosprockets

Oscillosprocket Information

What is an oscillosprocket? We are so glad you asked about oscillosprockets! To the best of our knowledge, the term was coined by the late Jack Hirsch (1947 - 2007), a physicist, flight instructor, mentor and close personal friend. He would use the word oscillosprocket when he was talking about something mechanical and needed the name of a part to fill in a sentence when the actual part didn't matter. So oscillosprocket is a pronoun of sorts for mechanical parts.

Oscillosprocket
A generic term for a mechanical part.
Example: "To fix that problem just tweak the oscillosprocket on the framastat."
